Drawing from their richbackground in endurance racing and automotive engineering, they created a stunning blend of motorsport technology with horological excellence. The resultant creation? Timepieces with components metamorphosed from battle-scarred race cars and high-performance machinery. Taking a thrilling detour from the beaten path, Lorige incorporated a unique material in their watches - Carbon/Carbon.

Lorige’s watch designs are steeped in history, featuring components from racing cars that significantly contribute to the performance. To create Carbon/Carbon, the raw material, carbon, is compressed and heated, rendering it ultra-resistant to heat and making it lightweight. This property makes it perfect for high-speed vehicles in endurance competitions, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where brakes made from steel need regular replacements during the race while those made from Carbon/Carbon do not.

Carbon/Carbon is a beautiful paradox, incredibly tough yet lightweight. Initially developed for the aerospace industry, it’s now engineered into racing car brakes and can withstand temperatures up to 900°C. Its formidable resistance allows rapid deceleration from high speeds within seconds.
