Pharrell Williams' JOOPITER: A Groundbreaking Curation at Its Debut Watch Auction

Published: 25 Jul 2025
JOOPITER, founded by Pharrell Williams, is set to host its first watch auction with a selection of 27 extraordinary timepieces.

JOOPITER, a platform launched by renowned artist Pharrell Williams in 2022, is all set for its debut watch auction. This unique event, entitled ‘The Art of Time: Rare and Coveted Watches’, centres around 27 specially curated lots, championing innovative watchmaking and exploring contemporary definitions of rarity. Unlike many conventional auctions housing time-worn favorites like Paul Newman Daytonas or 5711s, this sale omits the usual crowd-pleasers and instead features a distinct blend of horological artistry.

For vintage enthusiasts, a remarkable Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 484 produced in 1931 — a year prior to the release of the more commonly recognised ref. 96 — is included in the auction, one of only two known examples in existence. The ‘Art of Time’ auction not only confirms JOOPITER’s trailblazing aspirations but also encourages collectors to diversify and seek horological diamonds in the rough, redefining the art of watch collecting.
